Lama Guendun RinpocheLama Gendun Rinpoche

Lama Gendun, a yogi and an accomplished master, spent over thirty years in retreat in Tibet and later in India.
In 1975, at the request of the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa, Lama Gendun settled in Dordogne where he gave teachings to audiences of practising Buddhists and other sympathizers. During the 1980's, he went to live in Auvergne in order to oversee the retreat centres and monastic hermitages. He has had an enormous role in the successful implantation of the Buddhist teachings in France and Europe.

Lama Jigme Rinpoche

Lama Jigme Rinpoche is an accomplished spiritual master of the Kagyupa tradition. He was a disciple of the late 16th Gyalwa Karmapa. When he assigned him to France in order to assume the position of spiritual leader of DKL, the Karmapa said :

" In the person of Jigmela, I leave you my heart. "
